KLTC promotes excellence and sustainability in land trust programs by encouraging commitment to the Land Trust Standards and Practices, including encouraging members to achieve accreditation from the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.
Training opportunities.
We provide training opportunities for KLTC members and land trust professionals to advance operational proficiencies and ethical standards.
Monitor legislation.
We monitor local, state, and federal legislation that affects land conservation and inform our members of such activities.
Inform.
We educate landowners, elected officials, and the general public about land trusts and private land conservation for the public's benefit.
Statewide conservation.
We look for strategic methods to provide state-wide conservation choices.
